In 1954, the Model K and KK replaced by Model KH and KHK. With the increase in engine capacity to 885cc, and the addition in step stroke. Longer cylinder size to suit the additional step stroke. Racing cams on Model KH larger than its predecessor, even bigger cams available on the Model KHK. Hole enlarged to anticipate rising ported cylinder capacity.

 Model KH and KHK produced until 1956, and became the embryo birth of the best-selling motorcycle in the history of Harley Davidson Sportster XL.
