THE PANHEAD

The Pan mind went from 1948-1965. After World war 2 Harley introduced generation x of engines. The panhead featured aluminum cylinder heads and hydrolic valve bodybuilders. It had been offered both in 61 and 74 cubic inches. In 1965 Harley used an electrical starter around the 1965 Electra Glide, that was the this past year for that panhead. It took its title in the pan formed valve covers. Additional features incorporated aluminum heads and hydraulic valve bodybuilders that provided oil with the rocker arms.next generation search engine
THE SHOVELHEAD

The Shovelhead was produced from 1966-1985. The shovelhead has been available since 1966. The rocker boxes were produced from cast aluminum which transformed the seeping panhead. Two large advances happened in 1980. The Sturgis was the initial Harley model getting a belt final drive, which was quieter and made it a lot more than chain drive. As well as the Toru Glide was suspended by three rubber mounts. This isolated vibration within the frame. The Shovelhead required its title within the shovel created valve covers.
